Beautiful photograph of a very beatiful woman. Amazing skin tone. (:o)
Pearl Studios: Thank you very much. She is indeed beautiful. My job was made alot easier.
Fantastic portrait shot, brill lighting & composition. The eyes have it!
Pearl Studios: Thanks.
Nice shot. For this type of shot I think it works best to have it "perfect".
The spots on her hand could go and I think the eyes would look better without the double catchlights and the dark spot in her left eye. I might be wrong tho.
Pearl Studios: Interesting. Funny thing is that I never considered this until you mentioned it. Definately worth considering. It is always helpful to get another persons opinion. Thanks a million mate.
Nice shot. She kinda looks familiar. Genevieve?
Pearl Studios: Dude,(lol) Thanks for visiting my page and leaving me feedback. Not sure if you know here. Unfortunately I can not give out her name. But she is not Genevieve.
Beautyfull picture. I like the colour tones
Pearl Studios: Thansk alot. I appreciate the feedback.
lovely concept
technically sound i'll have to agree with david about the spots, especially if this shot serves as a shot of a model, and not a particular person
Pearl Studios: Welcome to my page and thanks. If only I knew hot to remove the spots I would do it, unfortunately my photoshop skills leave alot to be desired. I will look into it though. Thank you very much for your feedback.
Excellent. The cropping and DOF are just right, pulling the viewer right to those beatiful eyes. David.
Pearl Studios: Ahhhh.... thanks my friend. The intent was to have viewers captured by the eyes. From your post, I am feeling I was successful. Thanks a million.
nice image, but i wont cut her head off
Pearl Studios: thanks for visiting my page. If I ever shoot with her again, I will experiment with keeping her full head. In this pic I did not want anything to take away from the power of her eyes. Thanks for the feedback though. It is always helpful.
Powerful image but a suggested improvement:
I would crop in more from the bottom - to around halfway across the elbow and in from the left (her right) to around halfway across the shoulder. Try it and see what I mean - both due to my eye wandering around the image... and with the suggested crop, my eye stays with her eyes.
Pearl Studios: Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it and see how it looks. Feedback is always appreciated.
loving the shot...her eyes draw you in
Pearl Studios: Welcome to my blog. Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, that was the goal, apparently I was successful.
this is a powerful composition I must give that to you, I have something similar but I prefer the colors in yours. But shooting this at 1.8 is probably an issue here. I see the eyes are not in focus, I think you could have bumped your ISO up to allow you to shoot at 2.8 this will get the eyes more in focus. the crop is perfect in my books.
Pearl Studios: Thanks D. I was having real problems finding the right apeture size. I will try bumping up the ISO next time. I do not know how you shout at such reativel small apetures when I can not get a picture at smaller than 2.0 . As usual I am grateful to for the feedback and critique.
Ditto to David Otokpa's comment. This was the first thing I noticed, after the initial jaw dropping reaction. Overall, awesome work, dear. Can't wait to see more.

Pearl Studios: Welcome to my Blog. Thanks for your kind comments. I appreciate your feedback.
This is a fantastic shot and I like the double catchlight in the eyes - very reminiscent of the lighting of Robert Mapplethorpe.
Skin spots are easy to remove using the clone tool in photoshop (I don't think they spoil your portrait though). As to the crop I would have added a bit more below the elbow if you have it - but this is such a subjective area you have to trust your own judgement or you will go mad with all the conflicting advice ;o) Mike
Pearl Studios: Thanks for pointing me in the direction. It is always nice to learn new techniques. I really appreciate your help.
Orange is a great choice of color for this!
Pearl Studios: Yeah, I am quite pleased with how it came out. Thanks.
personally I love the shot and I'm never keen on irradicating natural features, so I'm against some of the suggestions that you've had. Just my opinion but leave well alone. mal
Pearl Studios: Mal !!!!!!!!!! welcome to my page
I think the eyes should be sharp, but the rest is very subjective. I like it othwerise, cheers Nig.
Pearl Studios: Thanks alot Nigel. Appreciate your feedback.
beautiful shot, beautiful eyes. draws one in.
Pearl Studios: Chichi, thanks for your comments. I appreciate your feedback.
